SUMMARY:AGM and Presentation on “Impact of Climate Change on Horticulture”  by Jeff  Franklin.
DESCRIPTION:Jeff Franklin works at the Kentville Agricultural Research Centre and has a very detailed weather database which shows the changes to temperature and rainfall in the region\,  He has been presenting to horticultural associations on the implications of climate change for horticultural crops in the region.  With the historic drought and heat of 2025\, we welcome him to present and discuss this important topic and the implications for our plants and gardens. \nJeff Franklin works as part of the Plant Physiology team at the Atlantic Food and Horticulture Research Centre in Kentville\, Nova Scotia. Jeff’s work includes studying the impact of climate\, past and future\, on various horticulture crops with an emphasis on wine grapes. As part of this effort\, Jeff has provided analysis of climate data\, from our region to various commodity groups as both a diagnostic and predictor of agricultural output in our growing region.
